Vastu Shastra – is considered to be the traditional Indian system of architecture originating in India around 6000 BC. Over the huge decades from now, when the entire world was wandering in the forest to serve the purpose of their existence, we, the Indians had already found the knowledge about the subjects of life.
Vastu Shastra is an ancient guide for a positive home, right from the entrance of a house to the bedroom, kitchen, outdoors, and courtyard. Today, Indians are growing towards Vastu with modernization – The science of Architecture, has become the option for rich and those who fear the universe. R. R. Dhoot Architects and Pvt. Ltd. – A well-renowned name when it comes to the architect and interior designer in Pune has brought you today the history of our ancient science and its importance in today’s modern world.
What is Vastu Shastra?
According to our Indian mythology, Lord Vishwakarma created this architectural system on request of Lord Brahma. This architecture was developed with the combination of five elements of our universe – Earth, Water, Fire, Air, and Space. The need for creating this system was to keep the world organized in space within a given structure to function in relation to each other’s needs and usage. This system has passed through generations but today, sadly, it is nothing but a debatable question.
The modern world remains ignorant of what our ancestors had already visioned with their pious knowledge and mystic powers. But, this should not come as a surprise that other countries follow Vastu in their own traditional ways. For instance, “Feng-Shui” in China is about the positioning of materials in a manner it brings harmony and peace to the inhabitants. Yet, the origin of every such foreign practice holds its foundation from India.
Vastu and the Modern World
Vastu Shastra or the science of architecture is about harnessing the energy surrounding us to bring happiness in every aspect of our life. From health to education and marriage to peace, Vastu contributes a major part in bringing stability and harmony to each one’s of our lives. It is not a technology that gets outdated with time. It is eternal.
Today, people who have moved on to modernization and adapting foreign traditions are unaware of the facts that these traditions hold its root from India. Unfortunately, homes and buildings today are constructed on the basis of facilities the space provides or with respect to their budget. Fortunately, we still have some highly-professional architectural firms in Pune that take Vastu Shastra seriously in construction and architectural projects. We, at R. R. Dhoot Architects and Pvt. Ltd. believe in helping our clients stay in a house that brings prosperity and well-being to their family in the new home.
